DESCRIPTION:Dear Supporters of Owen’s Place\, \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHope you have had a chance to stop by Owen’s Place and try out the new swing area. It has proven to be a very popular addition to the park.The mulch under the tree house village has been refreshed; hopefully the new water fountain will be hooked up soon and the drop zone (“elevator”) has been re-energized! SO on the landscaping around the swing area will begin. All these occurred because we have been able to raise money through fundraisers. If we are to continue then more funds need to be raised. \nOne of the best ways to raise funds is by spreading the word to those who are not aware of the project.  One of those opportunities will happen next weekend. \nOn Saturday and Sunday\, August 19 & 20\, we will have a booth at the Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival.  In the past\, we have had many inquiries from people who did not know about it\, volunteered to help\, made donations and purchased bricks.  All these help. \nWe still need a few people to help staff the booth. DESCRIPTION:The next meeting will be held on Thursday\, August 4 at 6 PM at Feed the Creek. Since there are many activities planned that need the support of many\, we would hope that if possible many of you will be able to join us.\nGreat progress has been made on the Tree House Village – hope you have had a chance to stop by and see this progress. And there have been many visitors who were drawn to the area because of the construction and wanted to learn what was going on.\nI am sure most of you know of the $100\,000 that the Greene County Parks & Trails has granted to Owen’s Place to help finish the Tree House Village. While the project will not be totally completed\, we are planning to have an “open house” with food and activities for families. Much help is needed to make this successful. If you are not able to attend this next meeting\, but can help with any of the events listed on the agenda\, please respond to this email with your interest. There have been a “faithful few” who have attended most meetings and volunteered to help with events – both in planning and volunteering. However\, more could be used. Please consider helping out in any way you can.
